Mutant Inc. celebrates the delivery of its state-of-the-art robotic equipment for battery manufacturing and assembly to its Norfolk, Virginia plant.

Container trucks began arriving early morning, and continued into the next day. All told, 17 containers unloaded more than 15 tons of shipping crates filled with what will be Mutant’s fully automated and semi-automated lines. Mutant executives and workers were on hand for unloading, and specific placement in anticipation of de-crating and setup.

Dignitaries began visiting Mutant Inc. after the arrival of its shipment of its state-of-the-art robotics. Virginia Beach Mayor Bobby Dyer visits the Mutant facility, takes the grand tour, and meets with CEO Richard Marten, and CTO Lei Chen to learn about the future of energy storage and battery manufacturing.
